National Overview
Good morning, Ama
Here’s what’s happening with NYA’s youth programmes today. NYA-YOP is where the Tracker’s data comes from — headline outcome figures count evidence levels C and D only.

Scores rank; people decide. Every decision is audited, the criteria are published to applicants, and no candidate is rejected automatically. A candidate still pending verification cannot be selected.

What happens next
Formal certification stays with CTVET. This centre records assessment evidence — it never issues a national qualification (Part I §13, Part IV §19.6).
Master craftspersons & workplaces
70% of an apprenticeship happens here, not in the centre| Master craftsperson | Trade · workplace | NAP / CTVET ref | Slots | Inspection | Safeguarding | Payment |
|---|
A workplace is an entity, not a text field: accreditation, apprentice capacity, inspection history, safeguarding clearance and the craftsperson's own payment status are all recorded (Review Pack D2). No apprentice under 18 is placed where clearance has lapsed.
Talent requests
Action needed
Employer registration and vacancies live on GLMIS, the national labour-market hub. This portal shows only NYA programme completers shortlisted against your GLMIS vacancies, and asks you to confirm placements and retention — the evidence GLMIS cannot collect. Full records stay with NYA.
—
| Candidate | Pathway | Match | Skills | Location |
|---|
GLMIS matches labour supply to demand. NYA-YOP adds the part GLMIS cannot see: whether the young person NYA trained actually took the job, and whether it held at six and twelve months. Rankings are advisory — a placement officer reviews every shortlist, and nobody is rejected automatically.
Active placements — retention checks at 3, 6 and 12 months

YouthXplore stays the youth-facing app. Everything on this screen is read from NYA-YOP's journey API — and the support request it sends creates a case in NYA-YOP.
- The young person sees one journey, even though five systems sit behind it.
- Nothing is re-entered: every tick is a verified event.
- Try it: send a support request, then switch persona to NYA staff and open Cases.

| User | Role | Scope | Two-factor | Last sign-in | Status |

Two-factor authentication is mandatory for roles that can pay, export or open restricted categories — Finance, Case Worker, Analyst and System Administrator (Settings › Security). A password reset never shows a password to an administrator: the user receives a single-use link that expires in 30 minutes, and every reset, lock and role change is written to the audit log with the administrator who did it.
| Time | User | Action | Resource | Type | Chain |
|---|
Append-only and tamper-evident: each entry carries a hash of the entry before it, so a deleted or altered record breaks the chain and shows in red. Entries are retained for seven years (Settings › Data & retention). Exports are scoped to your role, need a reason, and are themselves logged.

Field officers rarely have reliable connectivity. The phone on the right mirrors the mobile app: tasks, attendance and case notes are captured offline and queued; records sync when a connection returns; conflicts are flagged for review, never silently overwritten.

V2 = document-checked: can train, provisional eligibility only. V3 through the NIA verification service unlocks stipend payment. Only the verification reference is stored — never a copy of the card.
